The Machila
In the olden days the 'Machila' was one of the main means of transport in Goa, for those who could afford it. It meant having four hefty men, in frilly outfits, singing songs, as they carted their typical, heavy weights of Goan society to their destination, either visiting family and friends in nearby villages or even a quick trip to the church for a pow - wow with the saints.
